Play, Create & Animate with SAM Animation

February 1, 2009

On Day 2 of the Lorne Conference, a small group participated in a 45 minute hands-on session introducing them to SAM Animation, a free animation program.

Apart from their enthusiasm, it was wonderful to see that the session attracted staff from all areas of the school – the Early Learning Centre, Junior School and Senior School. We also welcomed Bronwyn and Helen from our City Cite campus. :) The fact that this session attracted participants from across a number of year levels, indicated that staff were already aware that animation is a wonderful way to “Personalise the Learning Process” for learners of all ages.

After an introduction where participants viewed a sample and were given a brief overview of SAM Animation, staff got to work to create their own sequences using plasticine, blocks, Scrabble letters and anything else they could get their hands on!

Congratulations to all of our participants on their fabulous efforts!
